Our Ford Mustang GT exhaust systems are offered in 2 different configurations: Cat-Back and Axle-Back.

Simply put, no one knows Cat-Back systems like Borla because we invented the concept of the Cat-Back system over 43 years ago. Cat-Back exhaust systems replace all the components in your stock Mustang GT exhaust from behind the catalytic converters back to the exhaust tips. Cat-Back exhaust systems retain the factory catalytic converters and keep your vehicle street-legal.

Axle-Back systems stop short of replacing everything from behind the cats to the tips and instead replace the mufflers, some rear piping, and the tips themselves. This option gives you most of that spine-tingling Borla Cat-Back sound but at a more affordable cost.

Whether you choose a Cat-Back or Axle-Back system, the muscle car fanatics at Borla have specifically engineered our systems to work with the unique harmonics of Ford Mustang GT V-8 engines from the Fox-body 5.0, all the way up to the modern Coyote V-8 found in the latest generation of Mustang GT. Every system we build is honed from ultra-premium T-304 stainless steel, with ultra-smooth mandrel bends to ensure optimum flow.

When Ford introduced the Coyote V-8 for the Mustang GT, the automotive industry collectively dropped its jaws. Gone was the old-school tech found in previous Mustang GTs, replaced by a thoroughly modern engine with engine technology like dual overhead camshafts, variable valve timing, and lightweight engine internals. The result of this innovation is an engine that makes serious power, is a joy to modify, revs hard, and sounds incredible at the limit.

Every single system we develop in-house is built to work with the unique engine harmonics and design of everything from European sports cars to sport-compact legends. This bespoke approach to building exhaust systems means our systems always “sound like heaven and go like hell.”

We’re proud to offer a true “Made In The USA” product that is not only sold around the world but has become the global standard for performance exhaust systems.  Once a design is completed in California, all specifications are sent to our state-of-the-art facility in Johnson City, Tennessee, for production and shipping to locations all over the globe. This sprawling facility employs over 300 men and women and has become a shining example of community involvement.
